About Me
I have always been a creative soul who loves to learn.
I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have built a career around something I’m truly passionate about. I’ve had the privilege of using my skills to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. From telling the stories of children and families seeking support through challenging times, to sharing the experiences of seniors who rely on public transportation for essential medical appointments, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful storytelling can be. One of my proudest moments was helping to raise awareness for a teacher who discovered a health issue after finally scheduling an eye exam thanks to an educational mailer highlighting the importance of check-ups, even when vision seems fine. These are the kinds of stories that make me excited to continue my work, and I feel lucky to be able to share them with the world.
When I’m not immersed in my work, you’ll probably find me in the middle of a quilt project or cross-stitching my latest design. I took some time off from the workforce to raise my family, but I’ve been back in the professional world for over three years now, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to blend my passion for storytelling with my career.
During my time at home, I dove headfirst into learning as much as I could with the time I had, exploring everything from gardening and sewing to canning, photography, and breadmaking. I also volunteered at Feed Iowa First, where I worked as a gardener and helped with FLY (Feeding Lunches to Youth), gaining a deep appreciation for community and service. More recently, I’ve taken on a role as the Marketing Lead on the board of CR Pride, where I’ve had the privilege of using my skills to advocate for and support the LGBTQ+ community.
